Michelle Filozof

Toddler Community

Director and Teacher

Michelle joined SMMS when the school first opened because she was not happy with the traditional child care field. She was drawn to the independence, concentration and growth she saw in the infants and toddlers at SMMS. As the Director of the Toddler Community, and teacher within the classroom, she oversees all aspects of that program and ensures that our youngest students are thriving and given the experiences they need at the right time.

She has an Associates of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education. Michelle has also been trained in Conscious Discipline and is seeking MACTE accredited Montessori Training. She has worked with children under 3 for over 29 years and has been a supervisor for 20 years. She loves working with infants and young toddlers, it is her passion. When Michelle isn’t at the school she enjoys train watching with her son, snowmobiling with her family, traveling and participating in community events.
